Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are substances found naturally in the body. Glucosamine is a form of amino sugar that is believed to play a role in cartilage formation and repair. Chondroitin sulfate is part of a large protein molecule (proteoglycan) that gives cartilage elasticity.

These are taken as dietary or nutritional supplements to enhance the above body requirements. They are extracted from animal tissue: glucosamine from crab, lobster or shrimp shells; and chondroitin sulfate from animal cartilage, such as tracheas or shark cartilage.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most widespread type of Arthritis, is a degenerative disease of the joints. Although sometimes capable of causing acute inflammation, it is most commonly a "wear-and-tear" disease involving degeneration of joint cartilage and formation of bony spurs within various joints. Trauma to the joints, repetitive occupational usage, and obesity are risk factors. Most people over 60 years of age have this affliction to some extent. Studies show that  people with mild to moderate osteoarthritis (OA) taking either glucosamine or chondroitin sulfate reported pain relief at a level similar to that of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Research indicates that the supplements might also slow cartilage damage in people with OA.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is an organosulfur compound with the formula (CH3)2SO2. It is also known by several other names including DMSO2, methyl sulfone, and dimethyl sulfone. It occurs naturally in some primitive plants and is present in small amounts in many foods and beverages. Two randomized controlled trials of methylsulfonylmethane in osteoarthritis knee pain relief reported significant improvement in pain outcomes in the treatment group compared to comparable treatments.

1. We stand behind every item we sell. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, simply return the unused portion (unfortunately we cannot process empty containers as returns) in original packaging with your invoice within 14 days from delivery date for a prompt refund less shipping.

2. Please contact us for authorization before returning product, unauthorized returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

3. Only one opened item of the same product is eligible for return. All others of the same item must be in factory sealed original packaging for a refund.

4. If more than 10 items from the order are returned, a 15% restocking fee will be applied.

5. We cannot process returns after 30 days.
