Cholesterol Guard - 100 tablets

What is Cholesterol Guard? - What are its benefits?

Cayenne Extract - If you are concerned about your heart health, or if you are suffering from heart ailments, cayenne pepper should be a daily staple in your diet.

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum annuum or Capsicum fastigiatum) - also known as the Guinea spice, cow-horn pepper, aleva, bird pepper. Named for the city of Cayenne in French Guiana, it is a cultivar of Capsicum annuum related to bell peppers, jalapeos, and others.

It was  used quite extensively by the Aztecs and Mayans. In fact, historians assert it was a staple of the Aztec diet.

Scientific research has been initiated to validate what natural medicine practitioners have known for years: It can stop heart attacks, nourish the heart with vital nutrients, remove plaque from the arteries, re-build stomach tissue, heal stomach ulcers, fortify your overall health.

Cayenne pepper, by weight, is relatively high in vitamin A. It also contains vitamin B6, vitamin E, vitamin C, riboflavin, potassium and manganese.

Cayenne pepper is also known as a male aphrodisiac because it contains capsaicin which can increase blood flow to all parts of the human body. It is known in many cultures to be a potent libido enhancing aid that increases euphoric endorphins in the blood stream.

Garlic - Garlic is claimed to help prevent heart disease (including atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure) and cancer. Garlic is used to prevent certain types of cancer, including stomach and colon cancers. In fact, countries where garlic is consumed in higher amounts, because of traditional cuisine, have been found to have a lower prevalence of cancer. A Czech study found garlic supplementation reduced accumulation of cholesterol on the vascular walls of animals. Another study had similar results, with garlic supplementation significantly reducing aortic plaque deposits of cholesterol-fed rabbits. Another study showed supplementation with garlic extract inhibited vascular calcification in human patients with high blood cholesterol. A team of researchers at University of Adelaide in South Australia reviewed 11 studies examining the link between garlic and high blood pressure and found significant decreases in blood pressure levels of the patients who consumed garlic.

Beta Sitosterol - In the early 1950s it was noted that adding sitosterol to the diet of chickens or rabbits lowered cholesterol levels in both species and inhibited the development of atherosclerosis in rabbits. Sitosterol or mixtures of soy sterols were studied extensively as cholesterol-lowering agents between 1950 and 1960. They lowered cholesterol by about 10 percent. Because the structure of Beta-sitosterol is very similar to that of cholesterol, beta-sitosterol takes the place of dietary and biliary cholesterol in micelles produced in the intestinal lumen. This causes less cholesterol absorption in the body.
One small study shows a positive effect on male hair loss in combination with Saw palmetto.
In Europe, β-sitosterol is used in herbal therapy, especially in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is also used in Europe for the treatment of prostatic carcinoma and breast cancer, although the benefits are still being evaluated in the US.

Niacin -  is also known as vitamin B3, nicotinic acid and vitamin PP. It is an organic compound and one of the essential human nutrients. Niacin has been used to increase levels of HDL cholesterol in the blood and has been found to modestly decrease the risk of cardiovascular events in a number of controlled human trials.

Niacin is used with diet changes (restriction of cholesterol and fat intake) to reduce the amount of cholesterol and certain fatty substances in your blood. Niacin is also used to prevent and treat pellagra (niacin deficiency), a disease caused by inadequate diet and other medical problems. Niacin is a B-complex vitamin.
